His grandmother on his father's side was named Calista Grabbark. She was a hot little number and dated many eligible squirrels, including the four pictured beside her, Jiminy Hopwood, Red Woodmier, Puss Nutheiser and Gink Mintley. Mickey's Dad never knew who his father was...and neither did Mickey's Grandmother.
On his Mother's side, Mickey's Mother was the product of the fine specimens below. Gina Acornsberg, dated Jinx Upsedaisy -- but also two others you probably recognize from their photos...Gink Mintley and Puss Nutheiser.
This, of course, means that Mickey might have had only one grandfather. In fact, it's now believed that, indeed was the case and that both of Mickey's parents were sired by Puss Nutheiser...meaning that his mom and dad were actually half siblings. And, I think, if you look at the results of pairings, you'll notice Mickey's Mom (Gloria) and Dad (Nugene), below -- bear a striking resemblence to their probable father -- Puss.
If you're wondering why there are three pictured here, shortly before discovering she was pregnant with Mickey, Gloria had a little fling with the squirrel on the right -- Jinx Upsedaisy...the same Jinx Upsedaisy who once dated her mother. No matter who Mickey's dad was, no one can argue that he was anything but the most handsome squirrel ever born! And, even though his young life was ended accidentally in the jaws of his best friend -- Queenie, the Wonder Husky -- more than 100 years ago. We still miss him dearly.
